City of Hermosa Beach - New Business License Application
What you need to know to get started:
1. Business licenses are issued on an annual basis and expire at the end of the twelfth month following the date of issuance.
2. For home occupation businesses, AB 2184 allows applicants to protect their residential address by providing an alternate
Service of Process address in accordance with Sections 16000.1(a)(2) and 16100.1(a)(2) of the California Business and Professions
Code. If you wish to use this option, you must apply in person. Online applications are not available.
3. No payment is required until your application has been reviewed and approved. You will receive an email confirming receipt of your
application. Within seven business days, you will receive a second email with the amount due and instructions for submitting
payment online.
